We all are aware that India is developing the economy, the nature of
unemployment, therefore, acutely differs from the one that prevails in
industrially developed countries. Unemployment in developed and advanced
economies arises mainly due to deficiency of expected demand. But in developing
economy like India cyclical or frictional unemployment is prevalent. It is the
main factor behind the presence of chronic under-employment which comes
disguised as unemployment which has been affecting the rural section and
educated classes of an urban sector of the economy since decades. The
unemployment, in fact, doesn't arise because of lack of demand but due to a shortage
of capital equipment and resources.
Skill India Program by
Government of India
The Government of India launched the Skill India campaign on 15th of
July, 2015. This program comes under the direction of Ministry of Skill
Development and Entrepreneurship. Skill India plan was introduced by the
government to promote the skill development of the youth of the Indian economy
especially the ones coming from the rural sector. This program is working on
the certification and employment of the youth of India. The purpose is the
creation of skill in youth to strengthen the infrastructure in order to support
entrepreneurship development and skill development in the economy through
Apprenticeship training programmes.
Apprenticeship Programs
Apprenticeships basically are industrial training programs
that simultaneously provide on-the-job work experience to the candidates which
mainly fall under the informal workforce. They go through several sessions
involving the technical interface of industrial work and classroom study
sessions for remedial. Apprenticeship programs are specially designed for the
unskilled labor to develop and refine their skills and make them ready to enter
the formal workforce, they will come together to further support and strengthen
the infrastructure of the Indian economy. On the edge of the program, they can
apply to the companies that would recruit
an apprentice.

There are several that serve as a platform that provides apprenticeship training to the informal
workforce in order to provide them with noble opportunities like ITI apprenticeship for the available
apprenticeship vacancies. Through apprenticeship programs, the unskilled labor
gets the opportunities to grow their skills. To recruit an apprentice the
company regularly hire an apprentice for available apprenticeship vacancies. Apprentice registration can be done by
setting up a profile on the company’s website and after finishing up with it
they can carry on to search and apply for a suitable option.
Apprenticeship jobs, apprenticeshiptraining, and skill inculcation are done through traditional and
non-traditional programs. After finishing up with the training program, there
are several opportunities available for them to enter the formal workforce.
There are companies and employers waiting in line to hire an apprentice which would fill up their apprenticeship vacancies. All the candidates graduated with
training program are eligible to apply for jobs as per the guidelines. The

there on different company’s website. The are endless possibilities out there,
the youth needs to believe in themselves to grow as a person and to initiate
the growth of the nation collectively.
